As a Level 4 Diploma student at the WSET London school, I enjoy exploring, tasting, and learning all I can about the vast world of wine. I passed WSET Level 2 at the Odyssey Wine Academy in Healdsburg, CA with merit and Level 3 at WSET London with merit, and am now embarking on the Diploma adventure. I'm a member of the London Wine Guild and Central London Wine Society.
My background is in communications and PR. Before a career move to wine, I worked in film from production and exhibition and spent the last 12 years supporting directors and producers through the documentary development and filmmaking process, as well as with a UK organisation supporting fair pay to creators.
Wine is a passion and hobby. One can learn so much about a place's history and culture through their wine. I come from the West Coast of the US, where the Cabs, Pinots, and Chardonnays of Washington, Oregon, and California offer diversity, complexity, and stunning vistas.
With London as a home base, old world wines are on my doorstep —and I'm off to try them! Local travels to English sparkling vineyards and nearby jaunts to France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain have introduced me to different climates, styles, practices, and people. I seek out the producers doing something different, ones upholding tradition, and grapes so local they don't leave the island of Mallorca — it's all part of the adventure.
